Solar Storm Warning: Powerful G4 Storm Set to Hit Earth

Strong Flares Emitting from Cluster of Sunspots

Earth Expected to Experience Disruptions in Communications, Power Grid

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a warning for an uncommonly strong solar storm, classified as G4 or severe, that is heading towards Earth. The storm originated from a cluster of sunspots on the sun's surface, which is reportedly 16 times the diameter of Earth.

According to the Space Weather Prediction Center, multiple strong flares have been emitting from this cluster in recent days. NOAA predicts that the storm will arrive tomorrow, impacting Earth's communication systems, power grid, and satellite navigation. Some areas may even experience geomagnetic disturbances, which can produce aurora borealis and disrupt electrical currents.

The last time Earth experienced a G4 storm was in 2015, which caused widespread disruption to radio and navigation systems. NOAA advises everyone to be prepared for possible disruptions and to take precautions, such as charging electronic devices and having backup power sources available.
