Carter Hart Facing Sexual Assault Allegation

Flyers Goalie Out Indefinitely

Police Investigating Incident from 2018

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that goalie Carter Hart will be out indefinitely as he faces an investigation into a sexual assault allegation.

The allegations stem from an incident that allegedly occurred in 2018, when Hart was playing for the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League. The London, Ontario Police Service is currently investigating the claims.

Hart is one of five former Silvertips players who have been accused of sexual assault. The other players have not been publicly identified.

The Flyers said they are "aware of the allegations" and are "cooperating fully with the investigation." The team added that it will "take appropriate action" based on the outcome of the investigation.

Hart is a key member of the Flyers and was expected to be the team's starting goalie this season. His absence will be a major blow to the Flyers, who are already struggling at the bottom of the NHL standings.
