Billy Horschel Rips into LIV Golf Players
Reigning Champion Not Holding Back
LIV Golfers to Face Harsh Words at BMW PGA Championship
Billy Horschel, the reigning BMW PGA champion, has no shortage of opinions on the LIV Golf players who will be teeing it up this week at Wentworth. And he's not afraid to share them.
"I believe they made their bed," Horschel said. "They decided to go play on that tour and they shouldn't be allowed to come back and play on the DP World Tour or the PGA Tour."
Horschel's comments come on the heels of LIV Golf's first court battle, in which a judge ruled that the PGA Tour could not suspend players who had joined the breakaway series.
Horschel believes that the ruling is a setback for the PGA Tour and that it could lead to more players defecting to LIV Golf.
"It's a slippery slope," Horschel said. "If you allow them to come back, then what's to stop other players from doing the same thing?"
Horschel's comments are sure to add fuel to the fire of the ongoing debate over LIV Golf. And they're likely to be met with applause from some and criticism from others.
